Your host at Homewood Cottages are John and Jan Harland, who are long time residents of Highfields having moved into the area in 1993.

Since moving to Highfields from Mapleton in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland they have seen a lot of similarity in both areas.

The growth of Highfields and the establishing of a number of tourist based businesses were the catalyst for their plan to establish Homewood Cottages.

Wanting to establish and provide something different in the accommodation sector was paramount in their plans which came to fruition when they purchased a holding which bordered Davidson's Arboretum. The Arboretum with its manicured gardens and exotic trees provide the perfect ambiance for the cottages.
